National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes the vital importance of Children’s Hospices and the work that they do in Wales.
2. Recognises that there are 3655 children living in Wales with a life shortening or life threatening condition.
3. Notes that around 10 per cent of this number access palliative and end-of-life care through a children’s hospice.
4. Notes that the Welsh Government provides just 12 per cent of the care costs for Tŷ Hafan and Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices.
5. Calls on the Welsh Government to meet 21 per cent of Tŷ Hafan and Tŷ Gobaith’s care costs in a long term, sustainable and fair manner.
