National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Recognises the invaluable service provided by the Wales Air Ambulance.
2. Notes with concern the recent reports that suggest air ambulance bases in Welshpool and Caernarfon are set to shut in favour of a singular, centralised base in north-east Wales.
3. Acknowledges the widespread campaigning for the retention of these bases.
4. Expresses deep concern about how this decision would negatively impact rural, hard-to-reach areas in north and mid Wales.
5. Calls on the Welsh Government to intervene in the Emergency Ambulance Services Committee’s Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service review and ensure that the Welshpool and Caernarfon bases remain operational.
