OPIN-2023-0374 World AIDS Day 2023 (e) Tabled on 29/11/2023

This Senedd:
1. Commemorates World AIDS Day and remembers those lost and those living with the virus today.
2. Recognises that people living with HIV on effective treatment have normal life expectancy and cannot pass it on.
3. Welcomes the Welsh Government’s HIV Action Plan, and the continued cross-party support for the target to end new transmissions by 2030, eliminating stigma faced by people living with HIV and establishing national peer support for those living with the virus in Wales.
4. Supports Terrence Higgins Trust Cymru’s calls to guarantee the important dedicated funding that underpins the Action Plan to ensure the vital targets within it are delivered.
