This Senedd:
1. Notes £861m humanitarian and development funding the UK Government provided in 2017-18 to prevent widespread famine across Somalia, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya.
2. Notes that Oxfam estimates that over the next few months, one person is likely to die every 28 seconds from hunger in these countries.
3. Is dismayed by successive cuts in UK Government funding to East Africa over recent years, only budgeting £114.7m for these countries most at risk of famine.
4. Calls on Welsh Government to press UK Government to immediately fund £900m of humanitarian and development aid to Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia.
