National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes general practice is one of the core foundations of a high-quality cost-effective health system.
2. Acknowledges that general practice in Wales is under significant strain.
3. Calls on Welsh Government to:
a) commit to providing appropriate funding for general practice;
b) implement a standard maximum patient number that GPs can reasonably see during the day to maintain safe and high-quality services;
c) develop a strategy to ensure Wales trains, recruits and retains more GPs; and
d) produce long-term plans to improve the workforce's physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
