OPIN-2023-0337 Wales's first papur bro - Y Dinesydd

This Senedd:
1. Notes that Wales's first papur bro, y Dinesydd, the Cardiff and district papur bro, was published in April 1973.
2. Congratulates the volunteers who have ensured that y Dinesydd has continued for 50 years.
3. Notes the announcement by the Minister for Education and the Welsh Language that the network of local papers is among the organisations and projects that will share over a quarter of a million pounds of additional funding to help increase the use of the Welsh language.
4. Encourages the Welsh Government to continue to support of the papur bro network as part of a campaign to increase the number of Welsh speakers and reach the target of one million Welsh speakers by 2050.
