National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Notes:

a) the Convention on Biological Diversity COP15 summit taking place from 7-19 December 2022;

b) that this summit will result in a new Global Framework for Biodiversity.

2. Recognises the strength of international support for a nature positive global goal - halting and reversing the loss of nature by 2030.

3. Welcomes the opportunity for Wales to show high ambition during COP15, and to be a world leader in translating the global framework into domestic action.

4. Calls on the Welsh Government to bring forward legislation to enshrine the goal to achieve a nature positive Wales, underpinned by binding nature recovery targets
