National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Notes that rugby should be accessible to all young people regardless of age or gender.

2. Notes that rugby plays a major role in schools across Wales and that the sport is shared across all ages and genders.

3. Recognises that any decision made that affects how young people play should be considered within the context of equality.

4. Recognises the need to listen to young people on how participation of rugby can grow.

5. Calls on the Welsh Government to work with the WRU and schools to enable girls under 12 to continue to fully participate in mixed rugby in schools.
