This Senedd:

1. Opposes the move to a five-year cycle for cervical screening, recognising the importance of screening for cervical cancer as often as possible, and supports the current three year cycle, or improving it.

2. Calls on the Welsh Government to run a campaign encouraging women to take up the offer of a cervical screening appointment.

3. Notes that on average 3,197 cases of cervical cancer are discovered annually, with 854 deaths between 2016 and 2018 and only 51 per cent surviving this cancer for more than 10 years.

4. Acknowledges that 99.8 per cent of cervical cancer cases are preventable.
