National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Commemorates World AIDS Day on 1 December 2021, remembers those lost in the epidemic and living with the virus and welcomes the cross-party support for ending new HIV cases by 2030.

2. Recognises the four decades of progress, where people living with HIV on effective treatment can have a normal life expectancy and cannot pass on the virus.

3. Welcomes the Welsh Government’s intention for a Wales HIV action plan.

4. Supports Terrence Higgins Trust Cymru’s calls for a focused plan on increased testing, prevention, retention in care and eradication of stigma – supported by dedicated funding.
