National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Recognises that mountain rescue and search-and-rescue teams are blue-light emergency service responders that have a broad remit far beyond mountain rescue.

2. Notes the importance of mountain rescue teams in supporting other emergency services, usually in extreme circumstances.

3. Recognises the important contribution of mountain rescue team volunteers since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

4. Calls on NHS Wales to ensure that blue-light emergency service responders, be they volunteers or paid employees, are prioritised immediately in the current, and any future, roll-out of vaccination or booster vaccination programmes.
