National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Welcomes and congratulates the people of Somaliland and their government for the successful conduct of the parliamentary and local government elections in May and on the electoral security arrangements.

2. Notes the election of the new speaker, Hon. Abdirisaq Khalif Ahmed, and his deputies on 3 August 2021.

3. Commends HE Musa Behi, the President of Somaliland/National Political Parties for their collective collaborations in ensuring the reputation of Somaliland as a beacon of democracy in Africa.

4. Welcomes close cooperation between the Welsh Government and Parliament and the Somaliland Government and Parliament.
