OPIN-2021-0217 The Greenham Sisters - Recognition (w) Tabled on 16/09/2021

This Senedd:

1. Notes that it is 40 years since sisters from Wales traveled to Greenham Common to express their opposition to the installation of nuclear weapons there.

2. Recognises that the Greenham sisters were instrumental in the fight against nuclear weapons, and in inspiring a generation of women to take political action.

3. Remembers Helen Thomas killed in Greenham Common, and thanks her for her life.

4. Thanks the sisters of Greenham Common for their sacrifice and endorses the sisters' message: their spirit cannot be killed.
