National Assembly for Wales

This Assembly:

a) welcomes the publication of the National Deaf Children’s Society’s UK-wide report- 'Deaf Works Everywhere';

b) acknowledges that deafness should not present barriers for young people fulfilling their employment aspirations;

c) urges key partners across Wales to play a part in ensuring deaf young people feel positive about moving from education into work;

d) encourages work places to become more accessible for deaf young people;

e) supports the National Deaf Children’s Society in the aim of its new Deaf works Everywhere campaign, which seeks to get more deaf young people into work and jobs that inspire them.
