OPIN-2018-0087 US embassy move to Jerusalem (e) Tabled on 15/05/2018

This Assembly:

1. Opposes the Trump administration's relocation of the United States embassy to Jerusalem, in violation of numerous UN resolutions.

2. Condemns the actions of the Israeli Government and IDF in using violence against Palestinians protesting the move.

3. Notes that Trump administration and Israeli government policies in relation to Jerusalem are in violation of international agreements and could cause significant destabilisation to the wider middle-east region.

4. Calls on the Welsh Government to express its solidarity with the UN and others for a lasting two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.
