What assessment has the First Minister made of the current levels of COVID-19 in Newport?

The current levels of COVID-19 in Newport still give cause for concern as the number of cases continue to rise.  The Welsh Government monitors the situation closely and receives regular reports from the Gwent incident management team.

The number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals continues to rise, and at an accelerating rate. The Welsh Government receives daily reports of the developing circumstances across Wales.

Will the First Minister make a statement on suicide prevention in Wales?

Preventing suicide and self-harm remains a priority for the Welsh Government and is underpinned by our broader approach to improving mental health and well-being. Our actions are set out in the 'Together for Mental Health' delivery plan, and we all have a role to play to reduce suicide and self-harm.

What financial support is available for businesses located in local health protection areas like Bangor?

Phase 3 of our Wales-only economic resilience fund includes £80 million for Wales–wide business development grants. The eligibility checker opened on 6 October, with the application process opening during the week of 26 October. In light of our consideration of firebreak restrictions, we are further reviewing our support for business.
