How is the Welsh Government helping to increase NHS dentistry provision in Powys?

Since contract reform restarted in April 2022, over 22,500 new patients have received a full course of NHS treatment and a further 10,000 appointments have been delivered for new patients to receive urgent care. Furthermore, from April 2026 the new NHS dental contract arrangements will mean that NHS dentistry is provided on a risk and needs basis and with prevention at its core. This will enable health boards to get maximum coverage from their existing dental budgets and enable those who need care the most to get it.

How is the Welsh Government measuring the success of the 20mph rollout?

The primary goal of the policy is to make our roads safer, and data on this continues to be encouraging. Measuring the full impact will take time. We are working with Transport for Wales to monitor 12 key performance indicators and have commissioned an independent evaluation to assess the policy against these indicators.

What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the impact of immigration on Wales?

Whether it is those coming to Wales for work or those seeking sanctuary, migrants bring skills, fill key job gaps, volunteer in their communities and grow our economy. I am proud of our nation of sanctuary approach, which supports people seeking safety to rebuild their lives. International recruitment is an essential part of our workforce strategy, ensuring we have the right people and skills for our prosperity.
