Will the Cabinet Secretary make a statement on the Welsh Government's community policing strategy?

We are proud of the partnerships we have built with policing in Wales. We work collaboratively with policing, with the united aim of keeping Welsh communities safe, and provide additional funding for police community support officers despite policing being a non-devolved function. Therefore, there is not a Welsh Government sponsored community policing strategy.

How is the Welsh Government tackling ageism?

The ministerial advisory forum on ageing is developing a programme of work to tackle ageism in its many forms. The Welsh Government continues to fund the older people’s commissioner to challenge discrimination against older people and recently commissioned Age Cymru to deliver a campaign reinforcing the principle there is no age limit to human rights.

Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm her social justice priorities for South Wales Central for the remainder of the Senedd?

My priorities remain those outlined in the programme for government, and I am pleased with what we have achieved so far. We will continue working to ensure that we address and eliminate deep-seated inequalities, build cohesive communities and ensure Wales continues to be a nation of sanctuary.

What steps is the Welsh Government undertaking to ensure that individuals and communities have adequate access to banking services?

Financial services is a rapidly changing landscape, with multiple solutions replacing the traditional high-street bank branch. Financial services is reserved. The UK Government has committed to and is responsible for the expansion of the shared banking hub network. We are committed to championing inclusive financial services for all.

The Welsh Government is committed to maintaining and improving bus services in South Wales West. Through the bus network grant, partnership with local authorities and progress on franchising under the bus Bill, we aim to deliver reliable, integrated and affordable transport that supports communities and economic connectivity across the region.

What role does the Welsh Government's Llwybr Newydd strategy play in the Cabinet Secretary's decision making on transport?

'Llwybr Newydd', the Wales transport strategy, sets the statutory framework for all Welsh Government transport policy and investment decisions. Its aim is to deliver a transport system that is accessible, sustainable and efficient.
