A key mechanism for doing so is the Corporate Joint Committee, which was established to streamline governance structures, create opportunities for stronger regional collaboration, alongside maximising the use of resources and expertise.
What is the Welsh Government doing to protect front-line local government services in Bridgend?
The Welsh Government prioritises local government and front line public services in its budget decisions. The final local government settlement for 2025-2026 provides over £6.1bn in core revenue funding. This is an average increase of 4.5% or £262 million on a like-for-like basis.
