What action is the Welsh Government taking to improve water quality in South Wales West?
Welsh Government has invested over £40 million of additional funding between 2022-23 and 2024-25 to address water quality challenges across Wales, and we have made available over £1.1m between 2022 and 2025 to the three Nutrient Management boards operating in South West Wales.
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the rollout of the sustainable farming scheme?
The Published Scheme Outline is supporting an economic analysis and impact assessment to determine the impacts on a range of economic, environmental and social aspects. The outputs along with the ongoing Officials Group work will be discussed with Ministerial Roundtable before Ministers make a final decision and SFS is introduced.
What is the Welsh Government doing to tackle river pollution?
Welsh Government works with all stakeholders to tackle river pollution, cooperating with all who can make effective change. We have made available over £40 million of additional funding between 2022-23 and 2024-25 to directly address water quality challenges across Wales and further funding will be set out in due course.
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on his work on constitutional affairs?
We are making good progress in implementing the recommendations of the Constitution Commission. We are currently establishing the Innovating Democracy Advisory Group, chaired by Dr Anwen Elias, which will play an important part in taking forward key recommendations.

I regularly discuss all sources of funding available for health and social care purposes with the Cabinet Secretary concerned.
Will the Cabinet Secretary make a statement on his discussions with the UK Government in relation to future funding settlements?
I continue to have regular engagement with Treasury Ministers. I will be meeting the Chief Secretary to the Treasury in the next few weeks to discuss Welsh Government priorities as part of the UK Spending Review which concludes on 11 June.
What analysis has been made of the value for money to the Welsh Government of universal free school meals in primary schools?
International evidence demonstrates the cost-effectiveness and benefits of universal primary free school meals. The evaluation of our universal provision is underway and will develop options for building on that work here in Wales.
What impact will the additional capital funding made available to the Welsh Government by the UK Government have on frontline services in Wales?
Next year for the first time all the draft budget includes more than £3bn in capital funding. The impact will be felt directly in our public services, including the ability to improve productivity in revenue spend. It will also help ensure that Wales can play our part in re-establishing economic growth across the United Kingdom.
