Will the First Minister provide an update on increasing national grid capacity in Wales?

Wales must be prepared for significant changes to energy infrastructure. New grid capacity is needed to allow businesses to expand and support decarbonisation across our communities. We need to make sure that new grid is well designed to minimise impact and maximise the value it delivers.

Will the First Minister set out the Government's next steps following the publication of the summary of responses to the consultation on the licensing of animal welfare establishments, activities and exhibits?

We set out our approach in a written statement, published 18 December, alongside the Summary of Responses. The Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs will provide an update regarding next steps in the Spring.

What progress has the NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee made in the implementation of a dedicated road-based emergency service for remote rural and coastal areas in mid and north Wales?

The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee has endorsed proposed commissioning intentions towards the development and delivery of an additional bespoke road-based service that responds to rural, remote and coastal populations within a defined rural and remote geographic area. The committee will receive an update on this development at its next meeting.

Will the First Minister make a statement on water bills in Wales?

On 19 December, Ofwat completed its statutory water price review for the regulatory period 2025-2030, and published its final determination on water company business plans. These will result in a £6 billion investment programme in Wales, with average bill increases of 42% over the next five years.
