Will the First Minister make a statement on rural road connectivity in Vale of Clwyd?
Connecting communities is a priority for the Welsh Government, including by supporting local authorities in their management of rural roads. Denbighshire County Council have been awarded £750,000 in 2024-25 from the resilient roads fund to take forward design work on a replacement to Llanerch bridge.
Will the First Minister make a statement in response to the announcement that almost 100 jobs with PB Leiner gelatin plant in Treforest are to be lost due to the closure of the site?
PB Leiner are a large employer in the Pontypridd area and the loss of jobs will be a devastating blow for the community. Following this news, officials have been actively attempting to engage with the Belgian owners of the business and liaising with other organisations to support workers at the site.
How is the Welsh Government supporting communities affected by Storm Bert?
On 26 November I announced that we will fund eligible local authorities to provide grants of £1,000 for flooded households without insurance cover, or £500 to households with existing insurance cover. We are also working with risk management authorities as they investigate and repair any damaged flood risk management infrastructure.
