How is the Welsh Government holding Hywel Dda University Health Board to account for its delivery of services?
Hywel Dda University Health Board is in Targeted Intervention and held to account for delivery through monthly assessments of performance, plus a quarterly Targeted Intervention meeting chaired by the Chief Executive NHS Wales. The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care meets the Chair each quarter to discuss progress, challenges and risks.
What action is the Welsh Government taking to improve the resilience of the social care sector?
We are investing in strengthening our social care workforce, implementing new support measures for carers and strengthening market oversight across the sector. We have launched the National Office for Care and Support, and issued a new National Commissioning Framework to ensure robust, sustainable, and high-quality social care for all.
How is the Government improving and promoting health and wellbeing within the fire and rescue services?
We have worked in partnership with the Fire and Rescue Service and unions to reduce the risks to the health of firefighters and also taken action in response to reports where the wellbeing of firefighters might be at risk.
What steps is the Welsh Government taking to create better public health outcomes in Wales's most socially deprived communities?
We take cross-government action to improve health outcomes across Wales, including steps to tackle the health inequity caused by deprivation. Programmes such as Flying Start, recently announced support for vulnerable households over the winter and our social prescribing framework all support those in our most socially deprived communities.
