What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the impact on pensioners in South Wales West this winter of the UK Government's decision to scrap winter fuel payments?

We continue to support all those at risk of falling into fuel poverty, including pensioners. We are maximising the levers we have available in Wales by continuing to invest in our fuel voucher and discretionary assistance schemes to help people with fuel costs.

Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the North Wales Metro system?

In north Wales, the metro programme is focused on improving connectivity in the Mersey Dee region, centred around transforming the Borderlands railway line to achieve improved connections within north-east Wales and onwards to Liverpool. Feasibility work is in progress on a phased package of improvements.

What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with the UK Government on the rail-related recommendations set out in the Burns Commission report?

We are working in close partnership with the UK Government to agree a pipeline of rail infrastructure priorities. The Burns proposal for five new railway stations in south-east Wales is a key component of that pipeline.
