What is the First Minister’s assessment of the impact of the Smoke-free Premises and Vehicles (Wales) Regulations that came into force on 1 March 2021?

I am proud that we became the first country in the UK to make hospital grounds, school grounds and public playgrounds smoke-free, protecting public health from harmful second-hand smoke and contributing to our record-low levels of smoking prevalence. I am pleased the UK Government is considering similar regulations in England.

What support will the Welsh Government provide veterans that are seeking housing in Wales?

Welsh Government has a specific housing pathway for ex-service personnel in Wales to provide advice and guidance to those about to leave the services, as well as signposting information for those who have already left.

These are positive proposals that, if realised, will help us meet our industrial decarbonisation objectives and also help to deliver on our priority for green growth and jobs.

Will the First Minister make a statement on the number of planning applications called-in by the Welsh Government in the last three years?

One hundred and seven requests to call in a planning application were received between November 2021 and November 2024. Seven cases were called in for determination. Twenty-eight remain under active consideration.
