Universities do indeed play an important role in developing our economy through their unique contribution to research and innovation, teaching the next generation of graduates, and not forgetting the role they play as major employers in their own right.

How is the Welsh Government working to foster good industrial relations in Wales?

The legal framework for industrial relations is a reserved matter. However, in Wales, we promote social partnership as a way of working where employers and trade unions work as partners in a spirit of collaboration, shared commitment and mutual respect.
