What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with the Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales about making transport more accessible for disabled people?

How is the Cabinet Secretary working with Cabinet colleagues and the UK Government to coordinate post-release support for prisoners who are released early?

Questions For - Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
What steps is the Welsh Government taking to ensure that people can access public services by reliable public transport links?
'Llwybr Newydd', our transport strategy, sets out our vision for all parts of Wales to have reliable public transport. We have seen a step-change improvement in the reliability of Transport for Wales services this year. The further steps we will take are set out in our national transport delivery plan.
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the Llandeilo bypass?
We are procuring an employers agent, which should be complete in January 2025. Following this appointment, we will then procure a contractor to design, finalise the business case, and draft orders under the Highways Act 1980 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981 required to enable the proposed improvements.
How will the Cabinet Secretary ensure that the regional transport plans contribute to the Welsh Government’s targets for modal shift?
Corporate joint committees have a statutory requirement to develop regional transport plans that set out policies to implement the Wales transport strategy. As our guidance makes clear, this includes pursuing our modal shift and decarbonisation targets. My officials, and Transport for Wales, are supporting corporate joint committees with this work.
What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with Cabinet colleagues about protecting workers rights in North Wales?
I have discussed with Cabinet colleagues our ongoing dialogue with the UK Government on its plan to make work pay and the Employment Rights Bill. This Bill had its First Reading on 10 October and aims to improve workers’ rights and their enforcement.
