Cofnodir y trafodion yn yr iaith y llefarwyd hwy ynddi yn y pwyllgor. Yn ogystal, cynhwysir trawsgrifiad o’r cyfieithu ar y pryd. Mae hon yn fersiwn ddrafft o’r cofnod.

The proceedings are reported in the language in which they were spoken in the committee. In addition, a transcription of the simultaneous interpretation is included. This is a draft version of the record.

Cyfarfu’r pwyllgor yn y Senedd a thrwy gynhadledd fideo.

Dechreuodd y cyfarfod am 13:30.

The committee met in the Senedd and by video-conference.

The meeting began at 13:30.

1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datgan buddiannau
1. Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Prynhawn da. Welcome to the Equality and Social Justice Committee. I've had apologies from Sarah Murphy, and Ken Skates is no longer a member of the committee because he's now become a Minister. I don't suppose there are any declarations of interest, or, if there are, please could you indicate. I see none.

2. Papurau i’w nodi
2. Papers to note

We have seven papers to note. Are Members agreed to note them, or is there—? Jane Dodds.

Yes. Thank you, Chair. The only point I just wanted to note in this session was on the letter from the fire commissioners for south Wales, under point 3.2. I was just, really, wondering if this committee would be willing to respond to 3.2, which is about the process of appointing the interim chief fire officer, just to ensure that they are aware that we want future processes to be transparent, having received the evidence from the unions.

Fine. Okay. I'm sure that's noted. There was quite a lot of information in there about the engagement that any candidates were going to have to have with staff, which is important, but I'm sure we'd be happy just to clarify the importance of having a process that takes place in the public eye.

If there are no more comments on that, then those papers are noted. Members of the public can see all our deliberations on Senedd.Cymru. Our next public meeting will be with the Minister in charge of the fire and rescue services—so, that'll be next Monday afternoon.

3. Cynnig o dan Reolau Sefydlog 17.42(vi) a (ix) i benderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod
3. Motion under Standing Orders 17.42(vi) and (ix) to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting

Cynnig:

bod y pwyllgor yn penderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod yn unol â Rheolau Sefydlog 17.42(vi) a (ix).

Motion:

that the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting in accordance with Standing Orders 17.42(vi) and (ix).

Cynigiwyd y cynnig.

Motion moved.

I'd now like to ask Members, under Standing Order 17.42, to agree to exclude the public from the remainder of today's meeting.

Derbyniwyd y cynnig.

Daeth rhan gyhoeddus y cyfarfod i ben am 13:32.

Motion agreed.

The public part of the meeting ended at 13:32.
