Add as new points at end of motion:

Notes the joint letter signed by the First Minister as leader of Plaid Cymru on behalf of Plaid Cymru during the recent Senedd election that calls on the health board to “honour agreed processes and upgrade all Band 6 health visitors to Band 7, and restore principles of partnership working.”

Regrets that to date, Plaid Cymru in government have failed to honour the commitment contained within the letter.

Add as new point at end of motion:

Recognises the fundamental role of health visitors in giving every child the very best start in life, including their crucial role in safeguarding babies and children, and urges Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to resolve the dispute and get health visitors back to work.

Insert at end of point 1: which predates the current government and has been an ongoing issue for a number of years.

Delete all after point 1 and replace with:

Acknowledges that the Cabinet Minister for Health and Care has repeatedly urged Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Unite to come together and resolve this dispute to minimise the impact on babies, families, and staff and remains committed to encouraging positive partnership working at every level and the resolution of local dispute through negotiation as soon as possible.

Recognises that the Welsh Government is committed to a secure and stable health visiting workforce across Wales and that the Chief Nursing Officer for Wales has commissioned work to review and consider the future delivery of health visiting services to ensure that the model continues to meet the needs of children, families, and communities.
