To propose that the Senedd:

1. Notes a proposal for a Bill to enhance tenants’ rights by regulating the control of tenancy deposits.

2. Notes that the purpose of the Bill would be to:

a) require landlords and tenants to take photographic evidence of damages at the beginning of tenancies;

b) require the provision of itemised, invoiced bills before any deposit can be withheld;

c) require that final inspections should be scheduled before the end of tenancies; and

d) ensure a simplified, more efficient and speedy dispute system.
