National Assembly for Wales

To propose that the Senedd:

1. Notes a proposal for a Bill to make provisions for policies that would ensure that the Welsh Government takes into consideration the emissions caused by goods imported to Wales. 

2. Notes that the purpose of the Bill would be to:

a) create a duty for the Welsh Government to set targets for reducing the pollution caused by imports to Wales;

b) tackle the risk that environmental policy in Wales is resulting in increased reliance on goods from other nations; and

c) help Wales become a globally responsible nation.
