The proceedings are reported in the language in which they were spoken in the committee. In addition, a transcription of the simultaneous interpretation is included. Where contributors have supplied corrections to their evidence, these are noted in the transcript.

1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datganiadau o fuddiant
1. Introduction, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Bore da. Welcome to this morning's meeting of the reconstituted Reform Bill Committee. I'll just remind Members that the meeting is bilingual. If you require simultaneous translation, that's available via the headsets on channel 1. Amplification is available on channel 0. Please ensure your mobile phones or any other devices are switched to silent or off. If the fire alarm does take place—there is no scheduled alarm—please follow the directions of the ushers to a safe location. Can I thank Sarah Murphy and Darren Millar for their contributions to the committee's work previously? Can I welcome Alun Davies, who is replacing Sarah Murphy, and Paul Davies, who is replacing Darren Millar, to the committee? Members will be aware that the remit of the committee has been changed slightly to now scrutinise matters referred to us by the Business Committee. To that end, we will obviously be looking at the first object, which is the draft Senedd Cymru (Representation of the People) (Wales) Order 2025, which we've been discussing, and is known as the conduct Order, which we will be considering in the next set of meetings. We've received no apologies for today's meeting.

2. Cynnig o dan Reol Sefydlog 17.42(ix) i benderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod heddiw a dechrau'r cyfarfod nesaf ar 5 Chwefror 2025
2. Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of this meeting and the start of the next meeting on 5 February 2025

Cynnig:

bod y pwyllgor yn penderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod a dechrau'r cyfarfod nesaf ar 5 Chwefror 2025 yn unol â Rheol Sefydlog 17.42(ix).

Motion:

that the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting and the start of the next meeting on 5 February 2025 in accordance with Standing Order 17.42(ix).

Cynigiwyd y cynnig.

Motion moved.

We'll move directly on to the next item on the agenda, which is a motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of this meeting and the start of the meeting on 5 February. Are Members content to do so? I see everyone is in agreement. Therefore, we will now move into private session for the remainder of today's meeting.

Derbyniwyd y cynnig.

Daeth rhan gyhoeddus y cyfarfod i ben am 10:03.

Motion agreed.
