Cofnodir y trafodion yn yr iaith y llefarwyd hwy ynddi yn y pwyllgor. Yn ogystal, cynhwysir trawsgrifiad o’r cyfieithu ar y pryd. Lle mae cyfranwyr wedi darparu cywiriadau i’w tystiolaeth, nodir y rheini yn y trawsgrifiad.

The proceedings are reported in the language in which they were spoken in the committee. In addition, a transcription of the simultaneous interpretation is included. Where contributors have supplied corrections to their evidence, these are noted in the transcript.

Cyfarfu’r pwyllgor yn y Senedd a thrwy gynhadledd fideo.

Dechreuodd y cyfarfod am 09:30.

The committee met in the Senedd and by video-conference.

The meeting began at 09:30.

1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datgan buddiannau
1. Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Welcome, everyone, to this meeting of the Local Government and Housing Committee. Our first item today is introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest. The meeting is being held in hybrid format. Aside from the adaptations relating to conducting proceedings in a hybrid format, all other Standing Order requirements remain in place. Public items of the meeting are being broadcast live on Senedd.tv and the Record of Proceedings will be published as usual. The meeting is bilingual and simultaneous translation is available. Are there any declarations of interest? No, I see that there are none.

2. Papurau i'w nodi
2. Papers to note

So, we will move on to item 2, which is papers to note. The first of which is a letter from the First Minister to the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee regarding the inter-institutional relations agreement, and paper 2 is a letter from Travelling Ahead regarding the provision of sites for Gypsy, Roma and Travellers.

Let me add to item 1, just to say that we have received apologies for today's meeting from Carolyn Thomas.

Are there any matters that Members want to raise on the papers to note? Mabon.

On the Travelling Ahead—

Ar y llythyr hwnnw, dim ond i nodi ein bod ni fel pwyllgor wedi cytuno, onid o, y byddwn ni'n adolygu yr ymchwiliadau rydyn ni'n eu cynnal, felly mae'n werth bwydo'n ôl iddyn nhw ein bod ni'n mynd i fod yn adolygu ein hadroddiad ni ar ryw bwynt.

On the letter from Travelling Ahead, just to note that we as a committee have agreed, haven't we, that we would review the inquiries that we are currently holding, and it's worth feeding back to them that we are going to be reviewing our report at some point.

Yes, absolutely, Mabon. We have the Minister for Social Justice in for scrutiny in the autumn when we'll be raising these matters. But I think we're also due a response, are we, Manon, from the Minister before that as well, in writing?

Yes, we are expecting an update from the Minister. We're expecting that update on 6 September.

Yes.

Obviously, with regard to our report, of course, if Travelling Ahead were content, we could forward this letter to the Minister in advance of that written response and the autumn scrutiny session, and ask for a response to this letter as well, if Members are content. Okay, we will do that, and we'll certainly feed back to Travelling Ahead, as you suggest, Mabon. Diolch yn fawr.

3. Cynnig o dan Reol Sefydlog 17.42(ix) i benderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod
3. Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting

Cynnig:

bod y pwyllgor yn penderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod yn unol â Rheol Sefydlog 17.42(ix).

Motion:

that the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting in accordance with Standing Order 17.42(ix).

Cynigiwyd y cynnig.

Motion moved.

Item 3, then, a motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting. Is committee content so to do? Thank you. Okay, we will then move to private session.

Derbyniwyd y cynnig.

Daeth rhan gyhoeddus y cyfarfod i ben am 09:34.

Motion agreed.

The public part of the meeting ended at 09:34.
